Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials , Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ), which rose 3.19% or 0.27 points to trade at 8.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ) added 3.15% or 0.03 points to end at 1.01 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI: JMT ) was up 1.57% or 0.32 points to 20.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ), which fell 4.89% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.54 at the close. Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI: RENE ) declined 2.40% or 0.06 points to end at 2.44 and Semapa (ELI: SEM ) was down 2.21% or 0.34 points to 15.04.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 13 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.15% or 0.03 to 1.01.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 1.09% or 0.80 to $72.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.85% or 0.60 to hit $69.75 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.24% or 35.89 to trade at $2,860.01 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 107.22.
