Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare , Financials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 1.11%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were UCB SA (EBR: UCB ), which rose 5.87% or 10.65 points to trade at 192.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Groep Brussel Lambert NV (EBR: GBLB ) added 2.18% or 1.50 points to end at 70.20 and Ackermans & Van Haaren NV (EBR: ACKB ) was up 1.99% or 3.90 points to 199.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aedifica (EBR: AOO ), which fell 1.37% or 0.85 points to trade at 61.20 at the close. Cofinimmo SA (EBR: COFB ) declined 1.02% or 0.60 points to end at 58.40 and Solvay SA (EBR: SOLB ) was down 0.64% or 0.20 points to 31.29.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 46 to 45 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ackermans & Van Haaren NV (EBR: ACKB ) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.99% or 3.90 to 199.70.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.87% or 53.16 to $2,901.66 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.26% or 0.18 to hit $69.58 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.06 to trade at $72.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.12% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.00% at 106.48.
