Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials , Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.80%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI: CTT ), which rose 2.57% or 0.19 points to trade at 7.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ) added 2.32% or 0.02 points to end at 1.06 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI: GALP ) was up 1.42% or 0.22 points to 15.75 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ), which fell 0.68% or 0.06 points to trade at 8.76 at the close. Semapa (ELI: SEM ) declined 0.38% or 0.06 points to end at 15.74 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI: CORA ) was down 0.12% or 0.01 points to 8.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 10 and 1 ended unchanged.

Shares in CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI: CTT ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.57% or 0.19 to 7.58. Shares in Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.32% or 0.02 to 1.06.

Brent oil for June delivery was up 1.04% or 0.75 to $73.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.13% or 0.78 to hit $69.78 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 2.61 to trade at $3,051.69 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 104.02.
