Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials , Travel & Leisure and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 2.58%.

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (BIT: LDOF ), which rose 7.45% or 2.91 points to trade at 41.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT: UNPI ) added 7.25% or 0.90 points to end at 13.31 and Banca Mediolanum SpA (BIT: BMED ) was up 5.37% or 0.65 points to 12.76 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Eni SpA (BIT: ENI ), which fell 1.28% or 0.15 points to trade at 11.89 at the close. Stellantis NV (BIT: STLAM ) declined 0.84% or 0.07 points to end at 8.22 and Tenaris SA (BIT: TENR ) was up 0.45% or 0.07 points to 14.62.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 481 to 85 and 31 ended unchanged.

Shares in Eni SpA (BIT: ENI ) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.28% or 0.15 to 11.89. Shares in Stellantis NV (BIT: STLAM ) fell to 3-years lows; losing 0.84% or 0.07 to 8.22.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.86% or 0.52 to $61.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.25% or 0.16 to hit $64.37 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.23% or 36.44 to trade at $3,010.04 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.45% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.59% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 103.06.
