Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials , Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 3.15%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC: BVC ), which rose 4.23% or 600.00 points to trade at 14,800.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC: ISA ) added 0.40% or 80.00 points to end at 19,980.00 and Promigas (BVC: PMG ) was up 0.30% or 20.00 points to 6,630.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ecopetrol SA (BVC: ECO ), which fell 6.19% or 120.00 points to trade at 1,820.00 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ) declined 4.65% or 1,840.00 points to end at 37,760.00 and Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC: ARG_p ) was down 3.43% or 600.00 points to 16,900.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC: BVC ) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.23% or 600.00 to 14,800.00.
US coffee C for May delivery was up 2.95% or 10.10 to $353.00 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 7.90% or 613.00 to hit $8,368.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 3.67% or 109.60 to trade at $3,099.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.01% to 4,302.25, while BRL/COP fell 0.01% to 737.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 102.72.
