Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare , Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmet Oyj (HE: VALMT ), which rose 10.99% or 2.55 points to trade at 25.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE: ORNBV ) added 5.34% or 2.54 points to end at 50.10 and Hiab Oyj (HE: HIAB ) was up 3.50% or 1.30 points to 38.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KONE Oyj (HE: KNEBV ), which fell 2.31% or 1.20 points to trade at 50.70 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE: FORTUM ) declined 0.41% or 0.06 points to end at 13.49 and Elisa Oyj (HE: ELISA ) was down 0.39% or 0.18 points to 45.68.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 126 to 47 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 2.59% or 1.75 to $65.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.86% or 1.82 to hit $61.85 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 3.67% or 125.66 to trade at $3,293.74 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.63% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.74% at 99.43.
