Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , Electrical/Machinery and Other Electronic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 1.64%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Danen Technology Corp (TW: 3686 ), which rose 10.00% or 1.40 points to trade at 15.40 at the close. Meanwhile, TSEC Corp (TW: 6443 ) added 10.00% or 1.35 points to end at 14.85 and Anji Technology Co Ltd (TW: 6477 ) was up 9.94% or 2.65 points to 29.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTCI Corp (TW: 9933 ), which fell 9.84% or 2.80 points to trade at 25.65 at the close. AV Tech Corp (TW: 8072 ) declined 8.96% or 3.65 points to end at 37.10 and Good Will Instrument Co Ltd (TW: 2423 ) was down 7.10% or 3.20 points to 41.85.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in CTCI Corp (TW: 9933 ) fell to 5-year lows; down 9.84% or 2.80 to 25.65.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.06% or 0.04 to $62.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $66.14 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.28% or 42.00 to trade at $3,336.10 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.09% to 32.54, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.11% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 99.45.
