Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology , Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI added 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ), which rose 3.22% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.09 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI: EDP ) added 1.92% or 0.06 points to end at 3.35 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI: CTT ) was up 1.66% or 0.12 points to 7.37 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nos SGPS SA (ELI: NOS ), which fell 1.46% or 0.06 points to trade at 3.73 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) declined 1.03% or 0.01 points to end at 0.56 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI: CORA ) was down 0.54% or 0.04 points to 7.38.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 12 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.22% or 0.03 to 1.09.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.21% or 0.14 to $65.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.11% or 0.07 to hit $62.20 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.53% or 50.39 to trade at $3,344.49 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 99.29.
