Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology , Healthcare and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 rose 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Melexis NV (EBR: MLXS ), which rose 7.31% or 3.70 points to trade at 54.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Elia (EBR: ELI ) added 3.09% or 2.70 points to end at 90.15 and Galapagos NV (AS: GLPG ) was up 2.32% or 0.52 points to 22.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR: AZE ), which fell 15.37% or 2.39 points to trade at 13.16 at the close. KBC Groep NV (EBR: KBC ) declined 0.61% or 0.50 points to end at 81.18 and D’Ieteren NV (EBR: IETB ) was down 0.47% or 0.80 points to 168.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 51 to 43 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR: AZE ) fell to all time lows; falling 15.37% or 2.39 to 13.16.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.48% or 48.76 to $3,342.86 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $62.27 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.05 to trade at $66.07 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.45% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 99.25.
