Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring , Banking and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.92%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS: BRYAT ), which rose 9.99% or 182.00 points to trade at 2,004.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS: TOASO ) added 8.22% or 15.50 points to end at 204.00 and Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS: BRSAN ) was up 7.01% or 25.25 points to 385.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS: IEYHO ), which fell 6.22% or 0.74 points to trade at 11.16 at the close. Enerya Enerji AS (IS: ENERY ) declined 4.48% or 0.20 points to end at 4.26 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS: TKFEN ) was down 2.53% or 3.70 points to 142.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 411 to 165 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.41% or 46.59 to $3,340.69 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.31% or 0.19 to hit $62.46 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.14 to trade at $66.26 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.07% to 38.32, while EUR/TRY rose 0.81% to 43.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 99.28.
