Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction , Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Profile Syst (AT: PRFr ), which rose 3.67% or 0.20 points to trade at 5.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Papoutsanis Industrial and Commercial of Consumer Goods SA (AT: PSALr ) added 3.25% or 0.08 points to end at 2.54 and Alumil (AT: ALMr ) was up 2.72% or 0.14 points to 5.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metlen Energy & Metals AE (AT: MYTr ), which fell 1.77% or 0.78 points to trade at 43.32 at the close. HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings SA (AT: HEPr ) declined 1.58% or 0.12 points to end at 7.48 and Jumbo SA (AT: BABr ) was down 1.54% or 0.42 points to 26.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 56 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Profile Syst (AT: PRFr ) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.67% or 0.20 to 5.65. Shares in Alumil (AT: ALMr ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.72% or 0.14 to 5.28.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.35% or 44.44 to $3,338.54 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.58% or 0.36 to hit $62.63 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.48% or 0.32 to trade at $66.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 99.21.
