Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare , Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.42% to hit a new 1-month high, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA: ESLX ), which rose 2.96% or 7.50 points to trade at 260.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Sanofi SA (EPA: SASY ) added 2.14% or 1.92 points to end at 91.79 and Kering SA (EPA: PRTP ) was up 1.58% or 2.78 points to 178.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Capgemini SE (EPA: CAPP ), which fell 1.34% or 2.05 points to trade at 150.65 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS: MT ) declined 1.23% or 0.34 points to end at 27.36 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA: PUBP ) was down 1.04% or 1.00 points to 95.06.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Mercialys SA (EPA: MERY ) which rose 3.63% to 10.86, ICADE (EPA: ICAD ) which was up 3.47% to settle at 22.66 and EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA: ESLX ) which gained 2.96% to close at 260.70.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA: ETL ) which was down 6.36% to 3.68 in late trade, Soitec SA (EPA: SOIT ) which lost 3.92% to settle at 55.40 and Euroapi SAS (EPA: EAPI ) which was down 3.90% to 2.61 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 243 to 225 and 96 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.28% or 41.26 to $3,185.34 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.48% or 0.91 to hit $62.53 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.32% or 0.85 to trade at $65.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 101.09.
