Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare , Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (EBR: ARGX ), which rose 3.83% or 18.60 points to trade at 504.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Aedifica (EBR: AOO ) added 2.79% or 1.75 points to end at 64.55 and UCB SA (EBR: UCB ) was up 2.62% or 4.05 points to 158.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Syensqo SA (EBR: SYENS ), which fell 1.44% or 0.94 points to trade at 64.22 at the close. Melexis NV (EBR: MLXS ) declined 1.38% or 0.85 points to end at 60.65 and Umicore SA (EBR: UMI ) was down 1.18% or 0.10 points to 8.38.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 45 to 45 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.20% or 38.81 to $3,187.79 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.43% or 0.88 to hit $62.50 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.26% or 0.81 to trade at $65.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 101.04.
