Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.26% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE: KOJAMO ), which rose 2.58% or 0.26 points to trade at 10.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE: ORNBV ) added 2.06% or 1.15 points to end at 57.10 and Elisa Oyj (HE: ELISA ) was up 1.59% or 0.72 points to 46.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mandatum Oyj (HE: MANTA ), which fell 10.90% or 0.64 points to trade at 5.26 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE: METSO ) declined 2.12% or 0.22 points to end at 10.41 and Valmet Oyj (HE: VALMT ) was down 2.11% or 0.62 points to 28.79.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 86 to 81 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.38% or 0.89 to $65.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.51% or 0.93 to hit $62.55 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.26% or 40.56 to trade at $3,186.04 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 101.05.
