Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals , Media and Food sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA: PGE ), which rose 6.36% or 0.57 points to trade at 9.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA: TPE ) added 4.85% or 0.33 points to end at 7.21 and CCC SA (WA: CCCP ) was up 2.32% or 5.30 points to 233.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dino Polska SA (WA: DNP ), which fell 6.37% or 35.40 points to trade at 520.20 at the close. 11BIT (WA: 11B ) declined 3.68% or 8.20 points to end at 214.60 and LPP SA (WA: LPPP ) was down 1.82% or 300.00 points to 16,150.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 277 to 251 and 109 ended unchanged.
Shares in PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA: PGE ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 6.36% or 0.57 to 9.59. Shares in Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA: TPE ) rose to all time highs; up 4.85% or 0.33 to 7.21.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.12% or 0.69 to $62.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.02% or 0.66 to hit $65.19 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.32% or 42.51 to trade at $3,184.09 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.67% to 4.27, while USD/PLN rose 1.01% to 3.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 100.99.
