Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials , Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.79%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC: SIS ), which rose 1.77% or 800.00 points to trade at 46,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ) added 1.32% or 500.00 points to end at 38,360.00 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC: ISA ) was up 1.24% or 260.00 points to 21,160.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bancolombia Pf (BVC: BIC_p1 ), which fell 3.82% or 1,700.00 points to trade at 42,800.00 at the close. Cementos Argos SA (BVC: CCB ) declined 1.13% or 120.00 points to end at 10,540.00 and Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC: TPL ) was down 0.98% or 120.00 points to 12,080.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC: SIS ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.77% or 800.00 to 46,000.00.

US coffee C for July delivery was down 0.18% or 0.65 to $368.65 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 1.68% or 183.00 to hit $10,691.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.98% or 32.15 to trade at $3,316.75 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.14% to 4,172.75, while BRL/COP rose 0.14% to 739.31.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 99.48.
