Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate , Consumption and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 1.59%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Raizen SA Preferred (BVMF: RAIZ4 ), which rose 5.95% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Cosan SA Industria e Comercio (BVMF: CSAN3 ) added 1.32% or 0.10 points to end at 7.68 and Petroreconcavo SA (BVMF: RECV3 ) was up 1.21% or 0.17 points to 14.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marcopolo SA (BVMF: POMO4 ), which fell 6.94% or 0.50 points to trade at 6.70 at the close. Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF: VAMO3 ) declined 6.60% or 0.31 points to end at 4.39 and Ultrapar Participacoes SA (BVMF: UGPA3 ) was down 6.33% or 1.12 points to 16.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 688 to 257 and 59 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 2.19% to 26.65.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.05% or 34.64 to $3,319.24 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.13% or 0.70 to hit $61.33 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract fell 0.18% or 0.65 to trade at $368.65 .
USD/BRL was down 0.36% to 5.65, while EUR/BRL unchanged 0.06% to 6.40.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 99.49.
