Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology , Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ), which rose 8.70% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ) added 2.99% or 0.28 points to end at 9.64 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) was up 1.90% or 0.01 points to 0.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ), which fell 5.26% or 0.48 points to trade at 8.55 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (ELI: CORA ) declined 1.65% or 0.14 points to end at 8.35 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI: EDP ) was down 0.83% or 0.03 points to 3.48.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 9 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ) rose to 5-year highs; up 8.70% or 0.10 to 1.27. Shares in Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.99% or 0.28 to 9.64. Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.90% or 0.01 to 0.65.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.36% or 0.88 to $64.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.25% or 0.77 to hit $60.80 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 21.66 to trade at $3,291.84 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.42% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 99.80.
