Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare , Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Umicore SA (EBR: UMI ), which rose 3.63% or 0.32 points to trade at 9.13 at the close. Meanwhile, Syensqo SA (EBR: SYENS ) added 0.89% or 0.58 points to end at 65.72 and Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR: ABI ) was up 0.10% or 0.06 points to 60.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR: AZE ), which fell 2.70% or 0.40 points to trade at 14.40 at the close. UCB SA (EBR: UCB ) declined 1.92% or 3.15 points to end at 160.50 and Montea C.V.A. (EBR: MONTE ) was down 1.83% or 1.20 points to 64.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 57 to 30 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.57% or 18.80 to $3,294.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.32% or 0.81 to hit $60.76 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.40% or 0.91 to trade at $64.00 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.46% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 99.80.
