Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Public Utilities , Electric Power and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 0.44%.

The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Raizen SA Preferred (BVMF: RAIZ4 ), which rose 12.36% or 0.22 points to trade at 2.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF: ASAI3 ) added 5.46% or 0.53 points to end at 10.24 and Azul SA Pref (BVMF: AZUL4 ) was up 4.90% or 0.05 points to 1.07 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bradespar SA (BVMF: BRAP4 ), which fell 3.24% or 0.54 points to trade at 16.13 at the close. Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica (BVMF: PCAR3 ) declined 3.23% or 0.10 points to end at 3.00 and Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF: VAMO3 ) was down 3.19% or 0.14 points to 4.25.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 492 to 443 and 59 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 1.58% to 27.07.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.62% or 20.55 to $3,292.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.33% or 0.82 to hit $60.75 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract fell 2.51% or 9.30 to trade at $361.00 .

USD/BRL was up 0.92% to 5.70, while EUR/BRL rose 0.45% to 6.43.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 99.81.
