Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials , Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ), which rose 1.13% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.66 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ) added 0.94% or 0.08 points to end at 8.63 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI: EDP ) was up 0.63% or 0.02 points to 3.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI: ALSS ), which fell 8.86% or 0.55 points to trade at 5.66 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI: NVGR ) declined 3.46% or 0.13 points to end at 3.52 and Semapa (ELI: SEM ) was down 2.71% or 0.50 points to 17.92.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.13% or 0.01 to 0.66.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.45% or 0.29 to $64.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.47% or 0.29 to hit $61.49 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.94% or 63.86 to trade at $3,358.86 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 99.15.
