Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology , Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were DSM Firmenich AG (AS: DSFIR ), which rose 2.01% or 1.92 points to trade at 97.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Wolters Kluwer (AS: WLSNc ) added 0.69% or 1.10 points to end at 161.25 and Relx PLC (AS: REL ) was up 0.41% or 0.20 points to 48.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASM International NV (AS: ASMI ), which fell 2.95% or 14.20 points to trade at 467.70 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS: BESI ) declined 2.59% or 2.80 points to end at 105.30 and Heineken (AS: HEIN ) was down 2.58% or 2.02 points to 76.26.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 63 to 30 and 14 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.49% or 0.30 to $61.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.47% or 0.30 to hit $64.74 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.90% or 62.51 to trade at $3,357.51 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 99.15.
