Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking , Telecoms and Household sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.42%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Optima bank SA (AT: OPTIMAr ), which rose 3.04% or 0.56 points to trade at 19.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Thessaloniki Water and Sewage Co SA (AT: TWSr ) added 2.16% or 0.07 points to end at 3.31 and Orilina Properties AEEAP (AT: ORILINAr ) was up 0.78% or 0.01 points to 0.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iktinos Hellas (AT: IKTr ), which fell 4.62% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.33 at the close. Ekter (AT: EKTr ) declined 3.58% or 0.08 points to end at 2.02 and Autohellas (AT: AUTr ) was down 3.49% or 0.42 points to 11.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 109 to 29 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Optima bank SA (AT: OPTIMAr ) rose to all time highs; up 3.04% or 0.56 to 19.00.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.90% or 62.54 to $3,357.54 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.49% or 0.30 to hit $61.50 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.36% or 0.23 to trade at $64.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.52% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 99.20.
