Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services , Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (BME: MTS ), which rose 4.16% or 1.10 points to trade at 27.55 at the close. Meanwhile, International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME: ICAG ) added 3.29% or 0.13 points to end at 3.93 and Indra A (BME: IDR ) was up 2.88% or 1.00 points to 35.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Redeia Corporacion SA (BME: REDE ), which fell 0.54% or 0.10 points to trade at 18.47 at the close. Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME: NTGY ) declined 0.53% or 0.14 points to end at 26.20 and Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME: ITX ) was down 0.40% or 0.19 points to 46.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 150 to 43 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Indra A (BME: IDR ) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.88% or 1.00 to 35.68.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.81% or 27.60 to $3,366.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.13% or 0.08 to hit $61.61 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $64.24 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 98.92.
