Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials , Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.57%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI: CTT ), which rose 2.51% or 0.18 points to trade at 7.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (ELI: GALP ) added 2.39% or 0.32 points to end at 13.70 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) was up 1.63% or 0.01 points to 0.67 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI: ALSS ), which fell 2.83% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.50 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (ELI: CORA ) declined 1.26% or 0.10 points to end at 7.83 and Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ) was down 0.76% or 0.04 points to 4.71.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 9 and 2 ended unchanged.

Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.63% or 0.01 to 0.67.

Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.06% or 0.04 to $64.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.13% or 0.08 to hit $61.61 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.83% or 28.14 to trade at $3,366.36 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 98.92.
