Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials , Real Estate and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS: MT ), which rose 4.20% or 1.11 points to trade at 27.56 at the close. Meanwhile, ASM International NV (AS: ASMI ) added 2.25% or 10.50 points to end at 478.20 and DSM Firmenich AG (AS: DSFIR ) was up 2.13% or 2.08 points to 99.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unilever PLC (AS: ULVR ), which fell 0.54% or 0.30 points to trade at 55.66 at the close. Relx PLC (AS: REL ) declined 0.25% or 0.12 points to end at 48.84 and NN Group NV (AS: NN ) was up 0.04% or 0.02 points to 53.62.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 77 to 23 and 9 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.15% or 0.09 to $61.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $64.25 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.83% or 28.24 to trade at $3,366.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 98.92.
