Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Construction , Banking and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 2.70%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Kruk SA (WA: KRU ), which rose 5.46% or 21.80 points to trade at 421.00 at the close. Meanwhile, mBank SA (WA: MBK ) added 4.40% or 34.80 points to end at 826.40 and CCC SA (WA: CCCP ) was up 4.21% or 9.50 points to 235.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were 11BIT (WA: 11B ), which fell 1.32% or 2.80 points to trade at 209.20 at the close. Text SA (WA: TXTP ) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 55.30 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA: JSW ) was up 0.30% or 0.07 points to 23.05.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 304 to 230 and 91 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.05% or 0.03 to $61.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $64.21 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.79% or 26.86 to trade at $3,367.64 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was down 0.28% to 4.24, while USD/PLN fell 0.42% to 3.73.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 98.92.
