Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials , Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Becle SA (BMV: CUERVO ), which rose 3.26% or 0.78 points to trade at 24.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV: GAPB ) added 2.81% or 12.55 points to end at 459.75 and Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV: ALSEA ) was up 2.43% or 1.14 points to 47.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV: GFINBURO ), which fell 2.11% or 1.08 points to trade at 50.01 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV: OMAB ) declined 1.68% or 3.95 points to end at 230.81 and Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV: Q ) was down 1.36% or 2.90 points to 210.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 81 to 44 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV: GAPB ) rose to all time highs; rising 2.81% or 12.55 to 459.75.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.00% or 0.10 to $3,370.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $61.53 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $64.18 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.06% to 19.25, while EUR/MXN rose 0.04% to 21.92.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 98.87.
