Investing.com-- Pony Ai Inc (NASDAQ: PONY ) said on Tuesday it had entered a partnership with Dubai’s Road Traffic Authority to deploy its robotaxi services in the city, as the Chinese robotaxi operator continues to expand across Asia and the Middle East.

The company signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai’s RTA for the partnership, with a goal of making at least a quarter of the city’s road travel in autonomous vehicles by 2030.

Pony.ai said it plans to begin mass production of its seventh-generation robotaxis in the second half of 2025, and plans to ramp up its robotaxi fleet globally in the coming years.

The company has tie-ups with several major automakers– including Toyota (NYSE: TM ) and GAC Motor– to build its robotaxis.

Pony.ai had recently entered a deal with Uber (NYSE: UBER ) to deploy its services in Middle Eastern markets earlier in May.

Pony.ai is among the biggest robotaxi operators in the globe, and offers autonomous vehicle services across several Chinese cities. The company currently operates a fleet of about 300 robotaxis.

The company also has testing permits in the U.S. and Luxembourg.
