Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology , Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Utilities , Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.02%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Thales (EPA: TCFP ), which rose 1.87% or 4.90 points to trade at 266.90 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA: STMPA ) added 1.45% or 0.32 points to end at 22.45 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA: URW ) was up 1.40% or 1.12 points to 81.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renault SA (EPA: RENA ), which fell 2.10% or 1.01 points to trade at 47.07 at the close. Orange SA (EPA: ORAN ) declined 1.09% or 0.14 points to end at 13.20 and Societe Generale SA (EPA: SOGN ) was down 0.98% or 0.48 points to 48.27.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Elior Group (EPA: ELIOR ) which rose 5.07% to 2.99, Soitec SA (EPA: SOIT ) which was up 4.18% to settle at 56.84 and Air France KLM SA (EPA: AIRF ) which gained 3.41% to close at 9.09.
The worst performers were Worldline SA (EPA: WLN ) which was down 6.03% to 5.08 in late trade, Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA: ETL ) which lost 4.01% to settle at 3.35 and SES (EPA: SESFd ) which was down 3.82% to 5.04 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 249 to 224 and 99 ended unchanged.
Shares in Thales (EPA: TCFP ) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.87% or 4.90 to 266.90.
The CAC 40 VIX , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 2.19% or 74.39 to $3,320.11 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.45% or 0.89 to hit $60.64 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.26% or 0.81 to trade at $63.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.66% at 99.52.
