Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Textile & Leather , Insurance and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.41%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ral Yatirim Holding AS (IS: RALYH ), which rose 6.16% or 8.20 points to trade at 141.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS: PASEU ) added 3.35% or 2.40 points to end at 74.00 and Sekerbank TAS (IS: SKBNK ) was up 1.48% or 0.07 points to 4.79 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS: BSOKE ), which fell 9.95% or 1.99 points to trade at 18.00 at the close. Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: OBAMS ) declined 8.11% or 4.50 points to end at 51.00 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS: GUBRF ) was down 7.00% or 19.50 points to 259.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 455 to 128 and 6 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 2.15% or 73.09 to $3,321.41 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.79% or 1.10 to hit $60.43 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.61% or 1.03 to trade at $63.09 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.23% to 39.00, while EUR/TRY fell 0.33% to 44.25.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 99.45.
