Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials , Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI: GALP ), which rose 2.45% or 0.34 points to trade at 14.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (ELI: NOS ) added 0.65% or 0.03 points to end at 3.86 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI: RENE ) was up 0.52% or 0.02 points to 2.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ), which fell 2.65% or 0.12 points to trade at 4.41 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (ELI: NVGR ) declined 1.65% or 0.06 points to end at 3.46 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI: ALSS ) was down 1.31% or 0.07 points to 5.29.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI: RENE ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.52% or 0.02 to 2.92.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 1.75% or 1.11 to $64.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.13% or 1.30 to hit $62.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 7.01 to trade at $3,321.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 99.83.
