Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Travel & Leisure , Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris SA (BIT: TENR ), which rose 3.83% or 0.55 points to trade at 14.92 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Bpm SpA (BIT: BAMI ) added 2.37% or 0.23 points to end at 10.09 and Saipem SpA (BIT: SPMI ) was up 1.96% or 0.04 points to 2.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (BIT: STLAM ), which fell 2.23% or 0.21 points to trade at 9.01 at the close. Iveco Group NV (BIT: IVG ) declined 1.82% or 0.32 points to end at 17.58 and Nexi SpA (BIT: NEXII ) was down 1.60% or 0.09 points to 5.29.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 295 to 256 and 58 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.10% or 1.28 to $62.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.70% or 1.08 to hit $64.65 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 6.80 to trade at $3,321.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 99.82.
