Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Information Technology , Oil & Gas and Energy sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.99%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ), which rose 9.84% or 16.90 points to trade at 188.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Allegro (WA: ALEP ) added 4.93% or 1.66 points to end at 35.21 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA: PKN ) was up 2.69% or 1.95 points to 74.55 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA: CCCP ), which fell 3.65% or 8.70 points to trade at 229.50 at the close. LPP SA (WA: LPPP ) declined 1.54% or 240.00 points to end at 15,350.00 and Kruk SA (WA: KRU ) was down 1.45% or 6.10 points to 414.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 283 to 264 and 92 ended unchanged.

Shares in Asseco Poland SA (WA: ACPP ) rose to all time highs; gaining 9.84% or 16.90 to 188.60. Shares in Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA: PKN ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.69% or 1.95 to 74.55.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.55% or 1.55 to $62.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.19% or 1.39 to hit $64.96 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 6.36 to trade at $3,321.94 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.09% to 4.24, while USD/PLN rose 0.25% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 99.83.
