Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Textile & Leather , Technology and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.39%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS: ALFAS ), which rose 3.81% or 1.70 points to trade at 46.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS: IEYHO ) added 3.69% or 0.47 points to end at 13.22 and Turkiye Sigorta AS (IS: TURSG ) was up 2.92% or 0.46 points to 16.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS: BSOKE ), which fell 5.39% or 0.97 points to trade at 17.03 at the close. Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: CIMSA ) declined 5.06% or 2.61 points to end at 48.94 and SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS: SASA ) was down 4.76% or 0.17 points to 3.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 431 to 151 and 9 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.21% or 7.11 to $3,321.19 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.77% or 1.08 to hit $61.97 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.51% or 0.96 to trade at $64.53 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.32% to 39.08, while EUR/TRY fell 0.04% to 44.18.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 99.82.
