Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals , Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 1.69%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ), which rose 1.47% or 1.50 points to trade at 103.70 at the close. Meanwhile, NKT Holding (CSE: NKT ) fell 0.18% or 1.00 points to end at 562.00 and Oersted AS (CSE: ORSTED ) was down 0.37% or 1.00 points to 268.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE: NOVOb ), which fell 2.41% or 11.20 points to trade at 453.70 at the close. Tryg A/S (CSE: TRYG ) declined 2.09% or 3.60 points to end at 168.80 and Demant A/S (CSE: DEMANT ) was down 2.06% or 5.40 points to 257.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 74 to 49 and 23 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.72% or 1.05 to $61.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.43% or 0.91 to hit $64.48 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 7.09 to trade at $3,321.21 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.29% to 6.60, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 99.78.
