Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities , Banking and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE: SNA ), which rose 6.45% or 4.00 points to trade at 66.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Delta Holding S.A (CSE: DHO ) added 3.82% or 3.20 points to end at 87.00 and CFG Bank SA (CSE: CFG ) was up 3.61% or 8.50 points to 244.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jet Contractors (CSE: JET ), which fell 5.75% or 131.00 points to trade at 2,149.00 at the close. Taqa Morocco SA (CSE: TQM ) declined 3.93% or 117.00 points to end at 2,860.00 and SMI (CSE: SMI ) was down 2.66% or 65.00 points to 2,375.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 27 to 23 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE: SNA ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 6.45% or 4.00 to 66.00.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.66% or 1.01 to $61.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.37% or 0.87 to hit $64.44 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 4.39 to trade at $3,323.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.13% to 10.48, while USD/MAD rose 0.20% to 9.26.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 99.71.
