Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Financial Services & Real Estate and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME: SLRS ), which rose 4.41% or 0.30 points to trade at 7.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME: ANE ) added 3.39% or 0.61 points to end at 18.62 and Acciona (BME: ANA ) was up 2.07% or 2.80 points to 138.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (BME: MTS ), which fell 1.10% or 0.30 points to trade at 26.87 at the close. Aena SME SA (BME: AENA ) declined 0.93% or 2.20 points to end at 235.20 and Indra A (BME: IDR ) was down 0.67% or 0.24 points to 35.84.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 99 to 86 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Acciona (BME: ANA ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.07% or 2.80 to 138.30.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.84% or 27.91 to $3,350.31 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.00% or 0.62 to hit $61.22 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.18% or 0.76 to trade at $63.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.72% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.45% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 99.23.
