Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials , Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Pirelli & C SPA (BIT: PIRC ), which rose 1.13% or 0.07 points to trade at 6.29 at the close. Meanwhile, Amplifon (BIT: AMPF ) added 1.10% or 0.22 points to end at 20.19 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT: UNPI ) was up 1.01% or 0.17 points to 17.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Leonardo SpA (BIT: LDOF ), which fell 2.20% or 1.22 points to trade at 54.12 at the close. Buzzi Unicem (BIT: BZU ) declined 2.13% or 1.00 points to end at 45.90 and Prysmian SpA (BIT: PRY ) was down 1.54% or 0.90 points to 57.42.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 299 to 276 and 44 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pirelli & C SPA (BIT: PIRC ) rose to 3-years highs; rising 1.13% or 0.07 to 6.29.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.94% or 0.58 to $61.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.13% or 0.73 to hit $63.59 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.86% or 28.46 to trade at $3,350.86 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.72% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 99.24.
