Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Construction , Oil & Gas and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 1.78%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were 11BIT (WA: 11B ), which rose 2.58% or 5.40 points to trade at 214.60 at the close. Meanwhile, PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA: PGE ) added 2.47% or 0.23 points to end at 9.71 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA: ATTP ) was up 1.00% or 0.24 points to 24.26 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Text SA (WA: TXTP ), which fell 5.27% or 2.95 points to trade at 53.00 at the close. CCC SA (WA: CCCP ) declined 4.66% or 10.70 points to end at 218.80 and BUDIMEX SA (WA: BDXP ) was down 4.26% or 28.00 points to 629.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 327 to 219 and 84 ended unchanged.

Shares in PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA: PGE ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.47% or 0.23 to 9.71.

Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.16% or 0.72 to $61.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.35% or 0.87 to hit $63.45 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 18.56 to trade at $3,340.96 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was up 0.13% to 4.24, while USD/PLN fell 0.50% to 3.73.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 99.29.
