Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology , Wood, Paper & Printing and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS: AKSEN ), which rose 3.58% or 1.16 points to trade at 33.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS: REEDR ) added 3.42% or 0.39 points to end at 11.80 and Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS: TSKB ) was up 3.25% or 0.36 points to 11.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS: BSOKE ), which fell 3.70% or 0.63 points to trade at 16.40 at the close. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS: CLEBI ) declined 3.53% or 66.00 points to end at 1,805.00 and Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: CIMSA ) was down 2.94% or 1.44 points to 47.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 332 to 232 and 28 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.55% or 18.11 to $3,340.51 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.25% or 0.77 to hit $61.07 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.37% or 0.88 to trade at $63.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.28% to 39.10, while EUR/TRY rose 0.85% to 44.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 99.31.
