Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking , Beverage and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Ste de Travaux de Realisation d’Ouvrages et de Constuction Industielle SA (CSE: STR ), which rose 10.00% or 27.35 points to trade at 300.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE: SNA ) added 9.99% or 6.08 points to end at 66.97 and Fenie Brossette (CSE: FBR ) was up 9.99% or 45.60 points to 502.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Realis. Mecaniques (CSE: SRM ), which fell 4.71% or 29.00 points to trade at 587.00 at the close. Lesieur Cristal (CSE: LES ) declined 4.67% or 13.95 points to end at 285.00 and CDM (CSE: CDM ) was down 2.91% or 32.00 points to 1,067.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 35 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ste de Travaux de Realisation d’Ouvrages et de Constuction Industielle SA (CSE: STR ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 10.00% or 27.35 to 300.95. Shares in Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE: SNA ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 9.99% or 6.08 to 66.97. Shares in Fenie Brossette (CSE: FBR ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 9.99% or 45.60 to 502.00.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.69% or 0.45 to $65.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.83% or 0.56 to hit $67.67 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 3.26 to trade at $3,353.06 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.22% to 10.58, while USD/MAD rose 0.22% to 8.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 96.62.
