Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.71%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL: TGS ), which rose 5.93% or 5.00 points to trade at 89.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL: GOGL ) added 5.57% or 4.10 points to end at 77.65 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL: NOD ) was up 4.32% or 5.70 points to 137.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL: KOG ), which fell 3.36% or 12.60 points to trade at 362.90 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NAS ) declined 1.72% or 0.25 points to end at 14.25 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL: GJFG ) was down 0.94% or 2.40 points to 254.20.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 168 to 104 and 25 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.46% or 0.30 to $65.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.61% or 0.41 to hit $67.52 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 4.62 to trade at $3,354.42 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.33% to 11.91, while USD/NOK rose 0.66% to 10.12.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 96.70.
